This committee is in charge of organising events on behalf of the Council, looking after sports elements within the town and providing youth services. Some are included in the list below:
Remembrance Parade & Service. The Council has organised the service and parade since the Royal British Legion closure several years ago. The Committee oversees arrangements and the Council liaises with various external bodies ie: Police, district and county councils to ensure this important event takes place
Litter Picks. Currently the Council hold two litter picks per year, one in the Spring and the other in the Autumn. An army of volunteers contribute to making the town look its best for it's residents and many visitors. If you would like to volunteer for the litter picks or would like more information, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Moreton Music Festival. In 2017 the Council held it's inaugural music festival, MMF 2017 and again 2018. Both events were a huge success with a variety of music for all to enjoy. Stalls, Face painting and activities also took place and the local Fire Service, which are based in the town, came along and let the children have a go on the engine! Due to these successes, MMF 2019 is scheduled for Saturday 22nd June 2019.
Skatepark and New Development of Recreation Facilities on Fields in Trust Site, London Road. The skatepark was officially opened on this site in 2012 with a 'Skatepark Jam' which was attended from skaters from around the country and continues to be widely used. This site is also going to be transformed with sports facilites. Ground has been broken so watch this space!
Moreton Youth Club. The club is operated on behalf of the Council by a company called CMAS. It currently runs sessions every Tuesday in termtime only from 6.30pm-8pm at St David's Centre.
